Another week!

Calder, Weeks are flying by. Sorry to just be sending an email. I’m super excited to chat tonight. Dad and I are sitting watching Russia's invasion into Ukraine. We feel sick. Our prayers and love are focused on the good people of Ukraine. We texted Vlad tonight. It’s just unreal to me that this is happening in our day. I’m so sorry. I know this is difficult for you. Who would have ever thought it would come to this!?! This was a great week here. McKay received his acceptance to BYU. We had some good conversations about his mission timing. He’s really been wrestling with when to go. I told McKay it shouldn’t be this much of a wrestle and that he should maybe just go to school. He’s officially decided to go to school and he seems very relieved and excited about his decision. I think he will room with Spencer Willis in Helaman Halls - if we can get him in there. Not gonna lie…kinda excited to have you all home for a hot second. I thought you’d be interested in this pic of Kenzie and Blake. Maybe you saw it. And can I just make a comment on one of Will Horsley’s photos. Did you see the ones with the sisters? That would have been so looked down upon if we would have been snuggling up to elders like that in photos. I had a super fun Presidents’ Day weekend with Gwen and Jane. We had a girls night out to zupas and a movie one night and then shopping and skiing. It was really fun to be with them and it seemed to mean a lot to them. I started a parenting class for mothers this week. It was really fabulous. The basis of the class is to help your children progress and find happiness. The teacher said that youth are getting stuck in blaming, self pity, escaping and not making progress and becoming extremely sad. She’s teaching that we have many things that are unfair that happen in life. We can be said for a minute but then we have to figure out what we can do about it and not wallow in the unfairness of world. We live in a crazy world - as evidenced by what’s happening in Ukraine. I’m so glad you are not there. We love you. We are praying for you. Keep up the great work. Keep changing lives. You’re doing great things. We are constantly praying for you and Elder Palmer and those you are teaching. The Lord is aware of you. He loves you. Have a great week. Your names rests on the alters of the Draper temple. Many, many people are praying for you. Love you tons! Mom
