Dear Calder.... I'm finally getting to my letter. Whoa...it's been a busy last week for me, but first....the pics: Pic #1- the newly engaged couple. We are fans of Kylie. And Eth is such a great one. I know this process has been really difficult for Chad and Cec, but she's a keeper. I think it's just tricky to pave the path and Ethan is just a bit of a spacer and so he's really put Cecily in some awkward situations. I think hearts can be healed and hurts can be mended, but it's going to take some time to let go and give it to their Savior. They will all get there. Eth and Kylie came over for hot coco before they walked to the park. I felt so honored that we were included like that. This pic was taken when they returned. So fun. So happy. I'm excited. Happy Anniversary to US!

Well, today is our 23rd anniversary! I want to call it my golden anniversary but that's the 50th anniversary. I was married when I was 23 year old and now I have been married for 23 years. So this anniversary marks the same number of years that I was single and married. I think that's pretty cool. It doesn't have a name, so I'm thinking of one. The week FLEW by! I was put in charge of the Fall Festival/Youth Fundraiser for our ward that was on Saturday. It was SO. MUCH. WORK! Glad to have it over. Lots of texting and coordinating and the worst part was we had tons of rain right up until it started (it was going to be outside). So, a little stressful. All in all, I think everyone enjoyed the ward activity. But in true D8th ward form, hardly anyone came. Seriously. It was a bummer. I mean, we had a ton of kids and youth but the parents and empty nesters didn't come. We have such a strange ward. But we had some total wins with people coming who don...

What a weird couple of weeks for me...

Well, the subject line was click bait...just kidding, it really has been a weird couple of weeks for me. I am sorry that I missed writing to you last week. I may have to go back to Sunday nights because before I know it, the week is over! The weeks are really feeling like days to me lately. I've included a VERY unflattering picture of me that Jane took that pretty much sums up my last couple of weeks/covid time. I sat on the couch, in my pjs, unshowered, working on my computer. It got seriously depressing. I let Young Womens overtake my life. I'm working on boundaries with my calling or else it can overtake everything! And then I'm discouraged because my life is out of balance. One of the best cures to the depressing sitting in your pjs all day in front of the computer was when we went skiing at Snowbird.
