It's Been A Teeth Week!

Image
I honestly have never received so many comments and texts after sending out one of your emails. I heard from so many....Lara, Cec, Jalynn, Kimberly, Ryan, Nikki Gonzales, and I even got a phone call from my brother Mark who NEVER calls! You really start learning who reads your letters from these experiences. I think I sent your email and Lara texted me like 30 second later! And it was like 11pm. It's quite the story and I've been laughing about Skull King all week! Thank goodness he was nearby! It was great to connect with the dentist and hear the plan ahead. It sounds good and what a bonus...we were going to have to repair that tooth anyway and now it's on the church's dime - hah! I actually told the dentist that I feel badly about that and that we are happy to pay for it. The dentist told us it's one of the blessings of serving a mission! I just hope and pray that it goes smoothly. I'm excited to hear about your toothless week! I'm wondering if yo...

Good Morning To My Favorite Missionary!

CALDER!!! Here it is Sunday night again! I love the opportunity writing you gives me a chance to reflect on my week. It was a great one. I've included a couple of pictures. The first one is when we were on a Calder Family Zoom call with all my siblings, parents and spouses. We had the opportunity to hear from Clark and Christine about the new calling. It was such a great experience to wrap our arms around them and hopefully they felt our love and support for all that they have ahead. It was also cool to hear all about receiving the call and meeting with President Nelson and Elders Bednar and Holland. Fun news on the Gilbert side is that John officially has his mission papers in. Another fun note that is not official but Christine did say that James and Erin are moving in the direction for a summer wedding. No news yet, but that is fun! The second pic is of the older class in YWs. On Tuesday we went to the Draper temple baptistry as a family with Gwen (Dad probably sent y...

Spring Break Recap

Calder!!! How was your week? We got home on Saturday from our spring break trip with Gma, Gpa and Greg's family. Here are some highlights: Sunday: YOUR CALL!!! Monday: YOUR CALL!!! Seriously! Those were the best! It was so good to talk to you! The trip was great. I really enjoyed being with everyone but I'm super glad to be home. It was a slightly stressful trip to be honest. I love being with everyone but Grandma is grumpy, Grandpa is lost, they don't really like each other and it's just a little depressing to be with them when they aren't happy. I also think I hit a little grumpy patch myself. I think I know where you get your inability to stay inside or your inside boredom...we were just such a huge group with so many different desires. At times I just needed to get out and do something! Anyway, enough of the Debbie downer...there were lots of highlights...but I missed you! A lot! And I missed just being with our little family. We had two really fun...

Happy Easter!

Dear Calder, I loved your Easter message! What a thrill. Thank you for the spirit you brought us tonight BUT OH MY GOODNESS, the time FLEW by!!!! Can’t wait to talk tomorrow. It’s been a fun, busy week getting off and making some decisions on the upstairs house project. Our bids came back in and we are about double than our budget...so, back to the drawing board.... Our plane left crazy early on Saturday morning for our trip...5:45am departure from our house to be exact. We stuffed in the car with grandma and grandpa and all our stuff (the Thule was a must) and got to the airport with just enough time not to sweat. EVERYBODY and their dog was there...seriously. It was crazy busy. We got here just great. We have a 15 passenger van (hah). The place we are staying is beautiful, the weather is a little cool, but it will be nice and relaxing. Easter was fun. To be honest, I am a little bummed that we missed so much of conference. I feel like I got about 20% of the spiritual renewal that ...
